So, I had a friend post something on her Facebook wall today about “5 Stupid Habits You Develop Growing Up in a Broken Home“. I related to EVERY.ONE.OF.THOSE.HABITS. Seriously. I wish I had time to go through each one of them this morning, but I don’t. I may make this a more in-depth post tonight when I get home from work, but I am in everyone of those habits.
I really didn’t have a stable home life growing up. We moved from place to place. It wasn’t until my sophomore year of high school that we stayed in one place for more than a couple of years. I never collected things because they would be lost in the moves. I will say that moving so much has probably helped me in not being a hoarder. I am a clutterer, but that’s because I’m lazy and don’t want to go clean things up. I don’t really hold on to too many sentimental things. Why keep them? I do have a few things of sentimental value, but, compared to David, it’s negligible.
So, yeah, read that story. You will know and understand me a lot better.
